My ‘Sunday 7’ – January 20, 2019

Winter has finally arrived in the Toronto area. With the frigid temperatures paired with the snow, it is a perfect weekend to stay indoors with a good book, hot chocolate and writing my ‘Sunday 7’ blog post.

  1. Outdoor enthusiasts looking to be active during the winter, you might want to take a look at cross country skiing in one of the many Ontario Parks.
  2. If you are looking for some fun and unique date night ideas, this list has some great suggestions. From skating on the waterfront, candle making, paint/drink nights, maple syrup festivals and more you are sure to find something the two of you will enjoy.
  3. If you dread Monday’s (many of us do), there are some simple and quick things you can do on Sunday, to prepare yourself for the week ahead. Take a read here. I already do many of these and will try the others.
  4. This white fit and flare lace dress by Ralph Lauren is beautiful and would be perfect for a fancy dinner while on a beach vacation.
  5. I recently heard about packing cubes. For those of you who know how I pack, (hint: I like to bring everything), these might help me.  I am curious to hear if you use them and if they work for you.
  6. Attention Tim Hortons double double coffee drinkers: did you know a double double flavoured timbit was just introduced to the menu? Would you try it?
  7. I have mentioned it before that I want to reduce the time I spend on social media sites. An article in Canadian Living outlines why it may be time to go on a social media diet.

What inspired you this past week? I look forward to your comments.

I have 14 years of public relations and communications experience, along with three years of marketing. For 12 years (2006-2018) I worked for two organizations in the agriculture/farming industry. After an unfortunate layoff in the summer of 2018, it made me think of where I wanted my career to go in the future. A year later, I decided to go out on my own and offer communications services (predominantly content creation) on a freelance basis to clients. I also enjoy photography, travelling, listening to music, cooking and baking. I am also a dog lover and have a beautiful yellow lab. Thank you for visiting and I hope you come back again soon!

I really liked learning about the packing cube idea. They would be really handy for trips with multiple stopovers. Thanks for a great read.
